Mainz - July 12, 2010
Today we visited Mainz which is the capital of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. We toured the Parliament building and listened to a history presentation. We found out that the founders of the Heinz Foods and Anheiser Busch companies in the USA came from Rhineland-Palatinate. We then enjoyed a lunch compliments of the president of Parliament consisting of salad, pasta prima-vera and gelatto for desert. After lunch we had an afternoon of shopping in Mainz.
